Visual Intelligence is about seeing from an active, seeking, thoughtful, wondering, playful mind. It’s about seeing the present and the future and the past. It’s about seeing, carrying, playing with, and creating images. The key is to let the “eye” see, relate and create meaning

 

Visual intelligence is the ability to think in three-dimensional terms. The ability to construct, arrange, decorates, or fix things


There is always an opportunity for integrating visual intelligence with other learning in our environment. We need to see it through the visual window. By consciously bringing our attention to seeing, visualizing, color, image, graphics, visuals we are broadening our learning possibilities. Any game or activity you are doing with your child see how can see through the window of seeing, observing, playing along with colors, size, 


ELEMENTS of Visual Intelligence

  1. OBSERVATION - It is about looking keenly, looking from different angles, objectives, perspectives. Visual observation is to collect data, observe in detail, and observe patterns, lines, shapes, designs, and textures.   2. VISUALIZATION - Visualisation is about imagination or seeing something in one’s mind’s eye and also is a mental practice in which we use our thoughts to visualize things. VISUALIZATION click here to read more

First outdoor with different age kids. The goal was to explore “maths in Traffic”. We began by collecting data at two different signals. We counted vehicles,  categorized them like color, size, shape, brand, and so on. We explored a lot of concepts – counting, addition, subtraction ratio, and proportion.    We analyzed the data in different forms – graphs, writing words instead of numbers, drawing designs in graphs, the ratio of male and female drivers, people with hamlets and without a helmet and inferring ratio, brands of bikes, colors of bikes (black was more than red), unique colors (green car) and so on.
