We are travelling and are at a place with minimal things. We (me and son) keep finding the ways to amuse us. Here are two fun exercises we did and enjoyed them thoroughly 


Kinesthetic Intelligence  - We are in a very small house right now and there is hardly any place to do much of gross motor activities. We adapted Hare and turtle story. We started facing as "turtle and snail", " camel and giraffe", "bee and butterfly", " shark and whale", and many more. This not only delved with kinesthetic intelligemce but so much thinking the child did to find a relevant pair, to enact their walk, to control the speed according to the animal. Not to forget we had good laugh after every race.



Visual Intelligence  - The place got just one magazine ( in the name of the book). I randomly asked my child to find a clock or watch in the book. He turned the pages in hurry and was irritated in the beginning that its not there. And then he found one all of sudden and obviously he was elated. Then I asked him to find a fish. With few minutes of struggle he found a picture of a diver with many many fishes. He was super happy. Next was to find a bangle. He was murmuring -" I should find a page with pictures of aunties " when he found one he observed here all the pictures are only of upper half of body and I won't see a bangle. He swiftly changed the page and of course found a relevant one. To my wonder following things happened. As we kept on finding new things he made a mental note of precious items we searched for Nd spotted them on various pages ( memorization and observation). With more time into it his observation I creased and he was able to retain more pictures from each page including the one which was not to be found. He was processing lot of info like to find rice he need to go to food section of magazine.

First outdoor with different age kids. The goal was to explore “maths in Traffic”. We began by collecting data at two different signals. We counted vehicles,  categorized them like color, size, shape, brand, and so on. Its time for us parents to go back to school - not to learn new things, but to unlearn - ​ a whole lot of what we have ​been ​unfortunately conditioned with.   Its time ​to question our beliefs, its time for some de-weeding   ​ - to create a better, more organic, more meaningful and vitalizing ecosystem for our children.
